No, not really. Douglas DC-4 and Lockheed Constellation, the premier
post-war airliners, were both pre-war designs. DC-6 and DC-7 were
improvements on the DC-4 and owed little to wartime designs. Boeing
didn't sell many of its B-29-descended Stratocruiser airliners.
