I think these types of tasks will become far less onerous--
once we have frequent, reliable, low-cost access to space.
Our huge "Saturn Hotel" concept (under space tourism in
the archives section of our web site) is comprised of modules
about the size you mention--plus components for assembling
much larger spaces. Initially, the "Saturn Hotel" was envisaged
for LEO; however, the possibility of uncontrolled reentry
probably precludes such large structures in LEO. Getting to
and from LEO to HEO or L-5 leads to other problems.
I feel that even large structures such as the Saturn Hotel
could be built with vehicles like our Millennium Express.
No heavy lift vehicle is required.
