Can you build a DIY spacestation in 2-ton blocks?
This is something I've thought about quite a bit. I believe you can, by producing a number of modules that are specialized in purpose and interior but all have basically the same shape and attachments. The standardized airlock attachments would also have standard ports for plumbing and wiring. Each would be about the size of a minivan; not roomy, but good enough for pioneers.
I've imaginined my Delta Blocks being used to build space stations.

Each face has an array of pegs and holes that are male/female face-to-face-connectors. There is an extra hole in the middle that's made to accomadate Tinker Toy shafts, but in an enlarged version these holes could be doors.
The edges fit together to lock the panels together at the correct dihedral angle.
The faces connect via the pegs and holes. Octahedrons and tetrahedrons stack to fill space just as conventional rectangular bricks do. Escher built a room from these bricks:

He occupied his octet structure with aquatic creatures saying the "walls", "floors" & "ceilings" didn't meet at angles comfortable for ground dwelling creatures. But in free fall the occupants would float around much as Escher's flatworms.
