So Triton is in and Titania is out then.
Maybe someone can tell me why these two moons should be separated as
being planets had they directly orbited the Sun?

They look very much alike to me, where the only real difference is a
1122km diameter difference. That one difference does not seem to
change things in other ways much.
At least by your theory Xena should go down as our solar system's
Planet X.
