Please elaborate. You seem to be claiming that the current shuttle
is *more* technically demanding than a fully reusable two stage
shuttle. Further, you seem to be claiming that a *more*
technically demanding approach was adopted so that the task could
be accomplished with a *smaller* amount of engineering work. This
seems counterintuitive and runs counter to one of Augustine's Laws
- "The last 10% of performance accounts for 90% of the effort."
