An interesting Space News article at:
says that Pratt & Whitney Rocketdyne (PWR) will get to
work on the air-start SSME (for Stick) late this year,
with testing beginning next year. PWR says that it
will be able to piece together almost 30 SSMEs from
existing assets for the Constellation program.
The article also indicates that tiny XCOR is ahead of
both PWR and Aerojet in Methane/LOX propulsion, since
it is doing hardware testing of a small engine now.
The Methane engine might be a pacing item for CEV
development.
