All the American's here?

Over the months of lurking I have noticed a lot of flack aimed at NASA
coming from Americans here, and comments from them to the effect that
IMO NASA should have done this that and the other. So I can't help
wondering if any of you lot have ever actually *worked* for NASA, and
had hands on experience of operations. i.e. have any of you's ever
actually worked in the mission control room OR actually worked at NASA
on the spacecraft or rockets over the past 30 years or so since
project Mercury?
If the answer is no, then critical comments here at what NASA should
do, or criticism as to what NASA is planning to do are are somewhat
moot, and NASA will do what it's controlling administrators and their
political masters want it to do irrespective as to what is posted
here.
