True, but you don't land the shuttle for practice (well, maybe if you
are dropping it from the 747...)
Docking and undocking and docking again has been done for simple
testing purposes, right?
So I could see them letting the computers try it sometime to see if
they will work, with the fighter jock's finger on the disengage button.
