You're fellow citizens by and large do not agree. Farm subsidies,
term limits, a flat tax, etc are all issues that are debated on
news programs, editorialized about in major newspapers and
magazines, and subjects of contention in presidential and
congressional election campaigns.

When was the last time you read an editorial or even a letter to
the editor in the New York Times or Time about lunar property
rights or Antarctic resource extraction? Saw lunar property rights
or Antarctic resource extraction debated on Crossfire on CNN? Saw a
presidential candidate asked about lunar property rights or
Antarctic resource extraction during a debate? Do you understand
why you don't see these subjects discussed?

You have to stop thinking with your heart in these matters. Lunar
property rights or Antarctic resource extraction may eventually
work themselves into the position of major issues in a few decades
but at the moment they're properly just the subjects of wistful
speculation of space advocates.
