Yeah, we do. And I think that because it's a fact.

:
:Of what? I flew about 158,000 miles last year; Europe, Asia, a little
:mid-East and a lot of US.
:
:I've seen a lot of airline and airport security pretty close up,
:including 5 consequetive "full" searches in the US last July when my
:ticket got flagged.
:
:I've seen "good" security in operation in many Asian airports and
:carriers and experienced Ben Gurion airport security first hand.

Experience sitting on planes doesn't grant you any expertise in
security. There is no reason why good security has to be intrusive.

:
:Again, ignorant of what? I've used LAX on domestic routes and as a
:long haul terminus - it was a crappy experience on all occasions. The
:long haul arrivals being significantly worse than the domestic one.
:
:I've not flown through Athens but I have done Heraklion in Crete and
:the accident that's already happened that's Corfu's main airport. I'm
:not rushing back. I can't imagine that it's a nice experience.
:
:In terms of US airports, I try to avoid pretty much all of them.

Please do.

:SFO
:is a nasty one for arrivals but pretty good for changing from a long
:haul international to domestic route. I don't like any of the New York
:ones - my last trip through La Guardia is burned into my memory.
:O'Hare is badly laid out and has piss poor facilities for such a large
:place.
:
:In terms of Europe; Frankfurt is diabolical but you can't really fault
:the security, but they've been paranoid since Lockerbie. Heathrow is
:fine for starting a journey but can be a nightmare if you have to
:change terminals. Paris CDG should be torn down and replaced with
:something that a non-augmented human can use.
:
:Schipol isn't bad, Kastrup Airport in Copenhagen makes a pretty
:effective major hub
:
:Generally the Asian airports are much better. Changi Airport in
:Singapore is pretty much the best airport I've ever been to, closely
:followed by Hong Kong.
:
:I've changed and arrived in Narita and it's pleasant too.
:
:Incheon in Seoul isn't bad.
:
:So, what's your experience of international airports Fred?

A travelogue of friendly airports isn't really applicable here, since
it has nothing to do with the issue.

Experience as a passenger isn't actually germane, since passengers
can't tell anything about what security is really like unless they're
trying to break it. Athens is rather infamous for being inept in
catching people, being known as essentially a terrorist haven.

The last international flight I avoided was to Turkey.

Bottom line: You touted somebody for recently implementing "100%
screening of check luggage, unlike the United States". I pointed out
you were wrong. The facts say you are wrong.

So now you try to distract with a travelogue....
