Mars mission possible now

Getting to Mars would definately have been possible now if we had made
it a priority.
We might not be able to survive on Mars.
We probably wont be able to get back.
We definatelly won't have a comfortable trip.
It wont be safe.
We might be suffering radiation sickness when we get there.

If lack of gravity is so serious to the human body we can easily make
it by spinning the space ship round on itself at the end of a long
wire, attached to the other half of the ship.

Radiation would be a gamble as we still can not predict solar flares
accurately. If we provide some shielding we can definately have a good
chance of safe arrival.

Planning for a one way trip would make the mission much simpler.

It would not take more than a combination of currently available
rockets, including Apollo and shuttle engines etc. to give us a small
chance of getting there.
It obviously would be best to design new vehicles, but it could have
been done.
