Skylon SSTO

I found this thread in rec.aviation.military I think in view of the
discussions over Biglow launch vehicles SSTO, DSTO etc. I think it more
appropriate here.
Do people :-
a) Have any knowledge of this?
b) Would it be a good idea?
My personal opinion is that it is a little weak on reentry. I would
prefer something a little bit more heat resistant than plastic and
carbon fiber. My preference would be to go for a DSTO which has in
point of fact been suggested in the thread.
