Re: Bezos' Blue Origin revealed!

Rand,
I read you blog on a daily basis and agree with 90% of what you write.
I'm also a certifiable space nut. I've gone skydiving, scuba diving and am a licensed pilot.
I'm planning to spend close to the price of an SS2 ticket on my personal rocketry project this year.
I could probably afford an SS2 ticket if I really wanted to.

Yet I have no interest in any of the currently projected offerings of suborbital flights
for exactly the reasons stated by Pat. I would gladly go on a orbital trip or even a trip
with a large cabin and significat weightless time. (Zero-G with room to move around.)
The current crop of suborbital offering leave my complely uninterested.

For the 200K of a SS2 flight I could:

Rent the entire Zero-gee plane for three or four flights and take 20 of my friends with me.
(I believe its about 65K to rent the whole plane for 3 hours)

I'll buy myself an Extra-300 and have some real fun.
