Re: Vision of the three Rs: Regular, Reliable and Reusable

McCall <fmccall@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> made the phosphor on my monitor glow in
such a way as to indicate that:

:That's been a horrible approach to date. Why do you think it would
:improve in the future?

It's been a horrible approach to date, but so far everything I see
people proposing to replace it is worse, relies on a bunch of
handwaving to get the middle to work, or both.

It's hard to imagine how anything could be worse, given the many tens
of billions spent to date with disastrous results.

What do YOU propose, Rand?

I propose getting a private space passenger industry going. If the
government wants to help with that by purchasing large numbers of
tickets for resale on the market, or by finally getting serious about
operationally responsive spacelift, all the better.

Remember that "because Rand thinks so" is
not adequate support to convince most people.

Should I care about that?
