Unlikely. It appears you haven't been paying attention -- CEV has fairly
broad and strong bipartisan support, as a shuttle replacement.

Unlikely?

Yes, it is unlikely Bush's CEV will go the trash bin of history with Bush.

More like a sure thing, we have to have a replacement
for the shuttle, that's a given.

You are contending it's a sure thing that the CEV will bite the dust? How does the need for a shuttle replacement make the CEV's demise a sure thing?

Evidently you have misread Hallerb's statement and Henry's reply. Please reread them more carefully.

Because the US economy is headed for disaster, ***.

It's too large, too heavy, and we can't pay for it. What is so hard to figure out about that? Jesus god almighty why are Americans so fucking stupid? Look at it the way we look at it. We knew back when Columbia crashed we had to go right back to Project Mercury with this thing, but rational people weren't concerned to overly much about the technical details, because well, we've got to start over, but we've got a space station, three space shuttles and two separate all liquid expendable launch vehicles, plus a whole lotta different advanced engines, and plus we have an entirely new architecture for high performance reusable engines with full flow, hydrostatic bearings and channel wall nozzles.

What we were all worried about was that only George W. Bush could screw it up and this is screwed up so badly it's almost fatal to space flight.

Will you people please come back to reality for us?

We are gonna bury this fucking administration.

And out of the wreckage is going to rise a *PHOENIX*.
