The US wants the world's scientists to develop technology to block
sunlight as a last-ditch way to halt global warming.
This was actually a very good topic. What ever happened to the sub-topic
of relocating our moon out to Earth's L1?
Why did those nasty MIB Zions pull the plug on this one?

The likes of "Willie Moo" is one of the nicer sorts of out-of-context
guys that's stuck in the usual naysay rut mode of demanding we do this
energy thing all his way or nothing. Whereas I agree that his new and
improved solar derived energy can be had for as little as $.01/KWhr
(that is if the 12 million acres of land is donated and most
everything else required is imported from the likes of China or from
whatever is cheaper). I also agree that of whatever's of spare/
surplus energy obtained should go into producing the likes of LH2/H2,
but then also for the much better and more manageable energy density
likes of H2O2 which our solar-->H2 energy wizard Willie Moo
automatically excludes on nearly every level.
However, I do not agree with his silly notions of utilizing massive
nuclear rockets for the task of relocating our pesky moon out to
Earth's L1, especially when the regular laws of physics prove that no
such rocket thrusting is required except for a little minor course
corrections, on behalf of that which the tethered CMs can't otherwise
manage.
Most folks like "Willie Moo" are unable to grasp onto a new idea,
especially if it wasn't their idea or prior mindset to start off
with. Most of us are pretty much stuck with whatever the mainstream
status quo has had to say, which means we can't even think for
ourselves inside the box, and we otherwise need to totally forget
about their thinking outside the box as simply not a doable option.
Instead, most folks live within and/or function by way of the logic as
formulated by the past, which is unfortunately most often skewed
rather badly away from the truth.
The truth is, within a given century or so, our moon can be relocated
to Earth's L1, and we'd all be a whole lot better off because of
having accomplished that task.
