You assume that more inept cooks than Rumsfeld and Co. are possible :)

A perfectly reasonable assumption, particularly when considering the
Europeans.

I think you are wrong. Nobody can be more stupit than Rumsfeld and his
neoconcervatives.

This is an absurd statement, that makes it difficult to take you
seriously, and indicates your brainwashing by your media.

LOL, this was preciselly the though at the back of my mind when you
said "A perfectly reasonable assumption, particularly when considering
the Europeans" which was anything but a reasonable statement.

I obviously disagree. And the pusillanimous record of the UN is
nothing to be proud of.

The UN is neither as bad as many Americans believe nor as great as
some Europeans believe. The actual truth is somewhere between those
two extremes.

The UN has done some excellent things, and some of the UN related
missions are indeed fine, at the same time you´ll also find some that
are truly dreadful, and there are some historic mistakes as well.

However, the UN is about what we deserve, as the world states never
have been quite willing to make it more than what it is. Yet, we can´t
be without it.

Cheers, Einar
