that's true, but these "finite number of locations" are so many and so
large to give us ALL the energy we'll need

also, there are some projects aimed to put wind turbines on sea and
oceans ...that seem enough large to me... :)

or stack many turbines in a vertical way, as proposed in my "Wind
Energy Skyscrapers" article:

last, some scientists' study suggest to put smalerl turbines at 10-15
km. of altitude where jet-stream winds runs at 100-200 mph
