The above is an interesting presentation, which gives some insight into the
possible direction of NASA's lunar architecture. Particularly interesting
to me are the studies of the lander(s) and their potential payloads when it
comes time to construct an actual lunar base.
This ties in somewhat with Rand's recent posting about an orbital refueling
depot, since it would be an enabling technology for bigger landers and, more
importantly, bigger lunar payloads.
