I think that to claim that we know no history before AD 800 is a bit hard on
all those hard-working historians of the Ancient World- Manetho, Plutarch,
Suetonius, Herodotus, Josephus - not to mention all those chaps who carved
history onto Egyptian , Mayan, and Hittite monuments!

Nor should we forget that we owe the best eyewitness account of volcanic
eruption and pyroclastic flows ( Vesusius at Pompeii in AD 79, Aug 24 et
seq.) to the heroic Roman writer, Pliny, who watched the whole"show" taking
notes while all his neighbours ran for cover...

None of which include the meticulous Chinese scholarship of over two
thousand years- an example being the writings of Ssuma Chien, whose
description of the lifework and funerery arragements of Qin Shi-Huangde, the
First Emperor is only now being verified by archaeology.
Need I go on?
Notwithstanding all the above , Willie Mookie's proposals would, if carried
through, be very welcome to the increasingly taxed, surveyed and tyrannised
citizens of this planet.
I suspect the best chance for this would be a fresh start , with a new band
of Pilgrim Fathers ( Mr Mookie's wealthy enterpreneurs, perhaps).
Over to Messrs Robert Bigelow, Elon Musk, Jim Benson, and Gerard O'Neill?

Can it be totally without significance that over15,000 Israelis have bought
plots of land on the Moon- remember the early Zionists of the 19th century
and their land purchases from the absentee landlords of the Ottoman Empire?
A new "Zion" on the Moon would cost humankind far less, and achieve far more
for Humanity than half baked plans by Islamists to promote their own Final
Solution to the Middle East's problems, dont' you think?
A radioactive Palestine well before 2015 - now the increasingly likely
end result of Mr Ahmadinejad's activities- will help neither Muslim nor Jew,
nor the historic sites of Mecca or Jerusalem!

Since 2015 is the 100th anniversary of the Manga Carta, lets see if we
can get the governments to agree in principal by this date to agree to
these three restrictions on their power.

That should be 800 years not 100 - don't know how that got changed..
and one final observation;

Not necessarily. Fomenko says:
the history of humankind goes only as far back as AD 800, we have
almost no information about events between AD 800-1000, and most
historical events we know took place in AD 1000-1500.

So yes, 800 years if you go by the traditional 'mainstream' historians.

And if you never thought there'd be someone as crazy as Br*d G*th, well
Fomenko's not quite there.
