coverage.

The Moon landings were fakes.
Exposives were placed in the twin towers.

Threads on these subjects always attract a large number of responses.
Why? Is is symtomatic of a general distrust in government?

Partly. It is also the aspect of solving the mystery. Face it, people
are suckers for the truth, Bubba. (Sorry, stole that line from the
film, "JFK"). But seriously, a conspiracy implies we don't know or
understand it all, therefore, the large number of responses.
