Re: The job of NASA

On Mon, 26 Nov 2007 08:45:25 -0800 (PST), in a place far, far away,
Ian Parker <ianparker2@xxxxxxxxx> made the phosphor on my monitor glow
in such a way as to indicate that:

Poor Ian. This has been explained to him several times and he still
remains stupidly and obstinately ignorant.

Ian, there is a logical fallacy called 'complex question'. What it
amounts to is to ask a question that *assumes* that the answer to an
unasked question desired by the person engaging in the fallacy has
already been given and agreed to. The modern 'classical' complex
question is "Have you stopped beating your wife yet?" It *assumes*
that the question "Do you beat your wife?" has already been asked and
answered in the affirmative.

You engage in this fallacy constantly. Rand is merely posing a
similar sort of question to you in order to demonstrate what sort of
preposterous propositions can be put forward by such means. Your
reaction demonstrates a few things:

1) He's apparently accidentally struck a nerve, which would indicate
that his 'preposterous' remark is not perhaps so preposterous after
all.

2) You're a paranoid loon.

3) You're incredibly stupid.

Is it starting to sink in yet?

only stupid."

I still don't know what the hell you are talking about.

Yes, Ian, we see that. It's why we're all laughing at how stupid you
are.
