There is one point I havn't mentioned yet. The abundance of
platinoids. We are all told we are going to be driving around in
electric cars with fuel cells. NASA, in its aeronautics role, is even
researching a purely electric airliner.

There is one very obvious question. Where are all the catalysts coming
from? Have we got enough platinoids for everyone to have an electric
car? This is part of my rooted objection to the Moon. Lunar platinoids
are at the center - same as Earth. Remember the Iridium re dinosaurs.
On asteroids elements are evenly distributed with very much higher
platinoid abundances.
