As I said, a large number of British Muslims thought that the subway
bombings were justified. If that's a radical position, it's not a
fringe one among them, or "on the margins" of their society..

change the British common law to sharia. Britain is now giving

What´s so nutty about that? The British welfare system is a rule based
system, and if the rules allow for that then what are we to criticize
that?

What's nutty about it is that the Brits are losing their own culture,
which has never before recognized polygyny. And only because Britain
absorbed huge numbers of immigrants, and then never demanded that they
assimilate.

USA has also absorbed large variety of different cultures, frequently
with only minimal assimilation. Look at the different neighborhoods of
New York, where like is the case in London, you can enter areas
primarilly populated by an immigrant group which substantially still
maintains its own culture.

Indeed.

The difference is that the US *did* absorb them. Europe, and the UK,
are not assimilating them, and are instead having their own values
being superceded by them. Mostly because they don't even seem to have
any confidence in their own culture any more.

Which values are being superseted.

You haven´t yet provited a link demonstrating your case that UK is
giving a family of men with multible wifes support. Now, I´m not
saying that can´t be true, but it´s generally preferable that people
support assertions with some data.
