This is the opening scene - then something really interesting happens.
lol.
I just don't know what, which is why i'm not in hollywood! lol.
Actually, I thought of another line. Bond - through is doppleganger
asks Q about the weapons potential of this technology. Q replies -
some things Mr. Bond even you cannot know. very cryptic. Would be an
instant classic.
To Q atom bombs are about as interesting as yesterday's trash. SDI
fits in his universe about the way the dirigible fits into the history
of air travel - oh we achieved all our technical goals, and it serves
its purpose keeping the world safe - but, of course it was quickly
surpassed and- uh, shame on you James you got me talking about things
I shouldn't.
To Bond of course its so easy defeating the bad guys there's no more
challenge.
That would set the stage
The technology itself becomes a problem..
hmm...
And all of this could-have-been/should-have-been story line has what
to do with "sci space policy targeted by disinformation experts?" Are
you playing one of the good-guys or bad-guys? (why of course, as long
as lord Mook get his way it really doesn't matter, does it)

I'm following the conversation started by Ian Parker. You know,
responding to what people are actually writing in a creative way
rather than repeating the same old words over and over again. You
ought to try it sometime. lol.
At least I don't cut-n-paste the works of others, claiming it's all
about little old me, or else. Oddly none of my research or ideas has
provoked and/or having sustained a phony war, like those your actions
prove that you see nothing the least bit wrong with.
Perhaps you should try supporting at least one other Usenet
contributor, other than any good number of Mook clones pretending to
be so all-knowing and so in charge of all that matters. Of course,
thank God and our lucky stars, if Hitler had ever accomplished such a
wise move, because lo and behold by now we'd all be speaking German
and otherwise Jewish smart (like yourself) to boot, as well as being
rich and powerful so that it simply wouldn't matter how spendy or
bloody our energy and quality of life gets, or much less having to
remorse over the demise of others.

Why don't you realize that you judge things as relevant based on how
it much it triggers the network of fixed ideas you continually argue
about. By arguing about them, they are placed more firmly in your
mind. So, when something doesn't trigger any idea, you gotta ask,
what's the relevance - haha.- even if its perfectly sensible.
Meanwhile, all manner of nonsensical bull*** gets trotted out as
perfectly legit, AS LONG AS IT RESONATES WITH THE COLLECTION OF
*FIXED* IDEAS IN YOUR HEAD.
The key factor here Brad, is that they are FIXED! You couldn't
change your mind about any of those fixed ideas if you tried. No
matter how much evidence it brought to bear, no matter how flimsy the
evidence you have supporting your conclusions - the evidence of your
FEELINGS is enough. And those FEELINGS of fear frustration anger
violence DO NOT CHANGE - they are fixed.
