Re: Re Willie Mookie and the crap posters

On Sat, 14 Jun 2008 13:37:45 -0700 (PDT), in a place far, far away,
Ian Parker <ianparker2@xxxxxxxxx> made the phosphor on my monitor glow
in such a way as to indicate that:

:Water transport is a non problem and "al kalb" knows this.
:

Oh, really?  What's the energy cost of pumping all that water uphill?

:
:After all rivers run though some of the most arid areas in the Middle
:East.
:

And said rivers are pretty heavily used already and you'd have to
depopulate the area if you start tinkering with them to turn them into
hydrogen.

:
:Canals, or atificial rivers and aquafers have existed since
:antiquity. The Romans seem to have had far better ideas.
:

Yes, they did, in that they moved water from higher elevations to
lower elevations.  Your scheme requires moving it the other way.

:Al kalb training references

I note you leave out the adjective 'reliable'.  That's good, since
none of these are.

Look the Shuttle is propelled by hydrogren and oxygen and steam leaves
the SME at 4.5km/s. Energy of carrying water uphill is completely
irrelevant when set against these figures. What's more you know it.

I'm starting to think that Ian is an AI project, albeit a trivially
easy one to program. He's a spontaneous non-sequitur generator.
