On Mon, 7 Jul 2008 17:25:26 +0200, in a place far, far away, "Dale
Harris" <nospam@xxxxxxxxxxxxxx> made the phosphor on my monitor glow
in such a way as to indicate that:
Hubble could have gone up on an expendable. Dynasoar could have
evolved into something that allowed EVA.
Or more likely, since the Dynasoar would have flown a lot earlier than the
Shuttle did, means Hubble would have flown on the Dynasoar II or Mark III.
Which would most likely have been much larger than Dynasoar and better than
the shuttle we got.
Heat shield failure or booster failure are just as much a possibillity
with
Dynasoar as they were with the Shuttle, I doubt DynaSoar would have been
any
safer.
There would have been no foam insulation to hit the Dynasoar TPS, and
in a booster failure, it could have aborted.
