Define 'antigravity'.

You guys really think these questions are all settled. Let me tell
you the truth, which all of you should know.

Never for a minute think we have 'it all' figured out.

To quote one of, if not the leading cosmologist in the world,
Paul J. Steinhardt, the Albert Einstein Professor in Science
at Princeton University, and Director of the Princeton Center
for Theoretical Science. Winner of the P.A.M. Dirac Medal
from the International Centre for Theoretical Physics. A Keck
Distinguished Visiting Professor, Institute for Advanced Study,
Princeton; Editor, Physics Series, Princeton University Press
PhD from Harvard. He has written over 200 papers, has edited
4 books, and has three U.S. patents (with two patents pending).
With Neil Turok (Cambridge Univ), he co-wrote a popular book
on cosmology entitled Endless Universe (2007).

...whew...just so there can be no mistaking this guy for some
quack....to quote him from his remarkable paper entitled....

A Quintessential Introduction to Dark Energy

"Most of the energy in the universe is not gravitationally attractive.
We are probably the last generation to have been taught that gravity
always attracts," a notion which has been presented as a basic fact
of nature for hundreds of years. We are now aware that gravity
can repel, as well. Of course, the possibility of self-repulsive forms
of energy was there in Einstein's general theory of relativity since
its inception, but this point was never generally appreciated until now..
We must rewrite the textbooks to explain that the gravitationally
self-attracting matter with which we are familiar is the minority in the
universe today and for the indefinite future."http://wwwphy.princeton.edu/~steinh/

Whatdya think about that~

rs of Einstein Hoax literature can say anything useful. Indeed all
that the "Hoax" seems to do is draw in more and more red herrings.

Let us start off with looking at the expansion of the Universe. Will
the expansion go on for ever, or will it stop and reverse. This is set
by a parameter "Omega". If you believe in Inflation then Omega = 1.
Visible matter comes nowhere close to closing the Universe. There is
also evidence that as we go to larger and larger scales the proportion
of the gravitational pull caused by "dark" matter goes up.

Recently dark matter has been observed directly using gravitational
lensing.

http://www.spacetelescope.org/news/html/heic0709.htmlhttp://www.space.com/news/cosmic_shear_000512.html

This would tend to indicate that theories that eliminate Dark Mater by
creating a modified theory of gravity must be wrong.http://arxiv.org/PS_cache/arxiv/pdf/0805/0805.4774v3.pdf
Is therefore not consistent with observation. What is Dark matter
then? Sherlock Homes said that once the impossible has been
eliminated, the improbable, no matter how improbable must be the
truth.

IMPOSSIBLE - Any idea of dark matter being Brown dwarfs or Jupiters.
The amount of baryonic matter can be estimated by the abundances of
Hydrogen, Deuterium, Helium and Lithium. These elements were formed in
the first 3 minutes. At the end of 3 minutes nuclear reactions
stopped. The amount of baryonic matter, that is visible mater and
stellar mass black holes is thus a thermodynamic calculation. This
fixes baryonic matter at about 4% Omega.

IMPOSSIBLE - Black Holes - There would be X rays coming from the areas
where dark matter is found. This does not appear to be the case.

IMPOSSIBLE - The notion of photon mirrors put forward in the Hoax.
Quite simply it would not work, it has so many absolutely obvious
holes in it.

IMPROBABLE - Most cosmologists think DM is composed of elementary
particles that do not interact with matter. Neutrinos for example can
pass through the Earth without being stopped. However neutrinos alone
will not provide the amount of DM required. Thermodynamics again. What
we need are particles which do not usually take part in elementary
particle interactions. The axion has been proposed along with super
symmetry.

Super symmetry says that every fermion is paired with a boson and vice
versa. This involves the creation of a number of new particles some of
which are components of DM. What are Fermions and Bosons? Let us look
again at the Dirac equation. It is the equation of a "Spinor". That is
to say the matrix is anti symmetric. We have 2 bosons that we know
well. The photon and graviton. These are massless and travel at c. I
note that the EH does not attack Relativity because more than 4
dimensions are needed. To have SS we need a bigger tensor that GR
gives us. It has the 4 dimensional symmetric solution of the graviton
and a gravitino which is a fermion of spin 1½. Similarly for Maxwell's
equations and the photino.

The Einstein Hoaxers do not provide us with anything in the way of a
solution. What they seem to be doing all the time is introducing a
series of red herrings. "Light was bent twice as much as predicted by
corpuscular theories in 1919 because there was dark matter round the
Sun". Well if that is so the Earth would go round faster. After all
the Sun is "weighed" using planetary motion. We go on and on. And on
and on. This is what I mean.

Let us look at the company we are keeping. I did a Google search on
the Einstein Hoax

http://users.isp.com/retic/physics/index.htm

Look in particular at the user group log. This is clearly ORGANIZED.
What they do is keep a record of all the threads and then post it and
post it constantly. Two other references were interesting.

http://www.jewwatch.com/jew-leaders-einstein-hoax1.htmlHeil Hitler!http://www.biblebelievers.org.au/einstein.htmSo there IS a connection
with Evolution

The Hoax is inseparable from anti-Semitism in general. I get
particularly cross at the second reference. Here are people who call
themselves the "moral majority". In fact they are behaving ass an
immoral minority.

In sci.physics one of the antirelativists Tom Potter is no longer
saying that Relativity is wrong. What he is saying is that it is not
"useful". He half admits GPS, but thinks that it can be explained by
other theories.

Now what this seems to boil down to is that you are allowed to fit
your theories to political circumstances provided they are not too
useful in engineering. Too lie in other words. I never expected to see
that put forward in a scientific discussion group.

BTW - I have done this on Frontpage. Like the Hoaxers I will be in a
position to post me incessantly.

- Ian Parker

Such perfectly deductive reasoning is not allowed by the mainstream
DARPA status quo.

There have been and still exist the faith-based kind of mindset that's
basically in charge of whatever mainstream media and education get to
learn about and accept as their one and only truth(s).

Like it or not, Einstein was a good puppet of those in charge of our
past, present and future.

btw, a BH could simply be a core of antimatter that's simply
surrounded by a great many resting photons that can safely coexist
with antimatter.
