Here is the data on Earth's atmosphere

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Earth_atmosphere

Going by partial pressures;

Oxygen is 27,000x more plentiful on Earth
Nitrogen 4,500x more plentiful on Earth
Water vapor 6,700x more plentiful on Earth
Carbon-dioxide 15x more plentiful on Mars

The work neeed to compress an ideal gas is;

W = nRT*ln(Pa/Pb)

Where n = number of moles
R = rydberg constant = 8.314
T = temperature in K, 220 avg (135K to 300K range)

A human being consumes 2 lbs of oxygen per day. That's about a kilo
per day. Compressing this through a molecular sieve

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Molecular_sieve

requires only about 6 watts per person per day!!! (please check this
figure and see if I'm wrong)

A kg of hydrogen gas combined in a fuel cell with 8 kg of oxygen
(derived from Mar's atmosphere) produces 9 kg of water, and 114
megajoules of energy. At a 6 watt rate this is sufficient to operate
for a period of 215 days, including taking the oxygen out of the
supply to operate the fuel cell!!

Nitrogen and water take even less effort to extract from Mars'
atmosphere in this way. So, drinking water and buffer gas nitrogen is
also available!

200 kg of oxygen consumed per person during a transit to mars need not
be carried along if 1 kg of hydrogen can be used to extract 200 kg of
oxygen from Mars' atmosphere! Liquefaction would take more effort.
Still, this seems to be an underestimate somehow - so confirming these
numbers is useful.

CO2 partial pressure is higher on Mars than Earth. So, if liquid
water can form in the Mars atmosphere, to support transpiration, then
plants ought to be able to grow there. Pressurizing Mars atmosphere
without any filtration, 3x - provides a means to allow liquid water to
occur in a CO2 rich atmosphere.

Nitrogen requires 2x as much energy, but since its a buffer gas, it is
not consumed regularly. Water is a very minor energy as well. As I
said, a well designed molecular seive setup with electrically driven
pumps, would only consume 6 watts or so per person to provide drinking
water and oxygen.

Getting air and water from Mars directly, and recharging air and water
on Mars, reduces the supply situation to about 1/3 - Instead of 2,100
kg per person in consumables, 700 kg per person is needed to get to
Mars, and the rest is made on Mars, with 2 kg of hydrogen and about 10
kg of hardware. and 38 kg of spare parts and spare hydrogen. A crew
of 60 would then need only 45,000 kg not 135,000 kg.

It is not easy, nor cheap or otherwise a wise kind of genetic altering
notion of humans making an artificial go of it on Mars. We can't seem
to fix our own nation, much less others of this Earth that we've been
so busy at trashing.

You are clearly a bipolar and otherwise born-again rusemaster that has
little if any true accomplishments of your own, other than those made
up and/or created by way of your MI5/CIA and DARPA connections.

Your believing in the DARPA Apollo fiasco as being the last and only
word of your pagan god is proof enough, whereas each lie begets
another and another, and it seems our dumbfounded citizens of this
nation are still pretty much without a clue.

There are no laws of physics explaining why our naked and physically
dark Selene/moon is any less lethal than our Van Allen Belts, as
especially in gamma the moon is clearly a much worse off environment
than the softer radiation dosage of our Van Allen Belts (reported as
2e3 Sv/yr while shielded by 2 g/cm2).

What can I or most anyone else say? Obviously nothing can be said to
such a loyal Zionist/Nazi lover and supporter like yourself and others
of your pretend-Atheism and politically neutral kind that hasn't an
honest bone nor would ever admit to having a clue as to how we'd
otherwise manage to keep 10,000 spare/surplus military and countless
civil service workers employed after WWII, when there was clearly no
good reason other than our mutually perpetrated cold-war. The same
argument as applied 10 fold greater in numbers for the USSR, as
becoming our tango partner in crimes against humanity.

The resulting global fears along with cultivated bigotry, racism,
hatreds of most all other sorts and of course having caused inflation
in just about everything is what subsequently transpired, not to
mention burning through the bulk of our fossil fuels and otherwise
trashing our global environment in the process, plus multiple wars and
international fiascos as having been created or made worse and/or
sustained longer. Don’t even try to suggest that our mainstream
religions had nothing to do with any of this, or that religion has no
part in cultivating or otherwise benefiting by way of their being in
charge of what others are doing right under our noses, and then having
been sharing back to their global domination church a portion of the
artificial wealth generated.

The perpetual mainstream damage-control argument(s) that no one or
multiple agencies of our government or that of any church/religion
related factors are actually in charge of or otherwise directly or
indirectly responsible for any of the global or local bad stuff, just
doesn’t hardly fly, because Muslim Gypsies or rogue cults simply can’t
be responsible for every bad and consequence thing that comes along.
