We shouldn't prolong our dependence on foreign oil, but neither should
we ruin our economy in an attempt to rush the transition beyond what
is technologically feasible.

Oil from new drilling won't be available right away. It's something we
should be doing, but the emphasis shouldn't be on drilling. I'd like to see
an Apollo sized program for alternative energy research and development and
I don't see that sort of thing coming out of McCain with his budget cutting
hatchet in hand.

Barack Obama wants to bankrupt new coal
plants, and double electricity prices. What do you think the effect
of that on the economy would be?
