I disagree; I don't think NASA has what it takes anymore - guts and
inovation. Guts to make tough decisions and the ability to make invative
progress; that's where company's like SpaceX and Virgin Galactic are going
to come in - they've got the guts and they're more than just inovative.

It doesn't matter how much guts and innovation you have - because guts
and innovation don't build rockets. Checks with lots of zeros build
rockets.

A lesson the alt.space community has taken a long time to learn, and
one which some segments steadfastly refuse to acknowledge.
