Yep, I can afford this P-200 computer that I built out of
junk I dug out of a dumpster and parts I bought on closout
at the local flea market five years ago. I think all total
that I've got about $60 into this rig. Spread out over five
years I think that's about a dollar a month. Big whoop.
Internet access? Sure! Let's see,
get rid of the internet access and save $20 a month, that'll
go a long way toward paying $500/month for health insurance.
I don't have a cell phone, BTW, don't have cable or other
pay TV services (too expensive), and pretty much have
pared my monthly expenses down to the essentials of shelter
and food. I do admit to splurging last Christmas and buying
myself all three LotR soundtracks, that set me back almost
$50.
The whole "afford the internet" thing is a distortion designed
to create a false impression in people's minds. Yep, just because
I can afford the internet I'm automatically able to afford
all the luxuries and toys in life.
Right...
