Is this correct assumption? Wouldn't it more likely be
a photo of plasma line taken with higher shutter speed. The
strange artefact appears at the center of the image (if it
is not clipped afterwards) as the photographer had wanted
to catch it -- if he had had wanted to catch the shuttle,
we would see the spacecraft at the center and plasma line
spanning over only other half of the picture.
