But not running the O2 through the fuel cells reduces the amount of water for drinking. Can Elektron use water not suitable for drinking, like from the dehumidifiers?
Possibly, but I'm not sure how pH would affect it.
Of course, this assumes Elektron can be kept running 24/7 during the emergency. :-(
Don't forget the good old oxygen candels. The tried and tested super safe ones they used on Mir :D, Mike Foale recommends them highly :D
Anyway, I'm sure they would be fine, they are a way to get some more oxygen, but i'm not sure how much they actually are able to provide.
