It used to be if you did a lousy job, you got fired and that was it. These
days they go for blood.

While it is more likely for a private employer to terminate somebody and
forget about it for not wanting exposure to civil action, there is the
ominous tendency of official agencies to investigate and press for criminal
charges when it is dissatisfied with an employee's performance.

Even the military has hopped on the prosecutorial band wagon, then wonders
while they can't get enough volunteers to fill the ranks.
