FWIW, at an earlier press conference, a SSP manager said that they ran a
lot of wind tunnel and computational fluid dynamics (CFD) tests with and
without the PAL ramp.
He then said something to the effect of '...the aero guys *demanded*
this' as it was seen as the most effective way of dealing with that issue.
