BA staff at LHR would go to the hanger door or the office window when
it was due off on the mid morning flight. None of them were ever on
their knees (apart from one secretary in a manager's office but that's
not important right now)
If there were levels of care of aircraft in commercial service (which
there certainly isn't at BA) Concorde would be at the top of the
heap, the aircraft were under utilised, totally corrosion free and
perfectly maintained. The aircraft were easily good for another 15-20
years service and the despatch rate was the best in the entire fleet.
Oh and for the record BA engineers *only* pray if they go on a 737
(read up on crappy rudder actuators)
