When you consider the number of flights left, and the short period of time to do them, I have to wonder if NASA really has the luxury to delay by 2-3 weeks a flight just because it doesn't want to risk uploading new parameters while in flight.
If it allows such a delay for this simple reason, how many more such trivial delays will occur causing NASA to miss the 2010 deadline for flights ?
or perhaps NASA is really confident it can stuff 12 flights in the last 6 months so it can afford "Luxury" delays today ?
Is is NASA conscious that station assembly will not be completed in time anyways, so additional delays won't make a difference ? Or it knows that the shuttle's life will be extended since the shuttles were grounded for longer than anticipated, so it still ahs plenty of time to acocmplish the mission ?
