Re: NASA's vision lost on Web generation

I am not sure I understood the last part as I am a, just to the right of
Ronald Regan, conservitive. I can answer his question, and, given a bit of
time to do the research, will.
My point remains that if the PAO did a better job at public relations, NASA
would be more likely to receive public support. Public support would likely
encourage congressional support.
Look back to the Sixties, listen to the JFK speeches. The JFK support was
widely publicized and the public fell in behind him to support NASA. Yes,
the cold war had alot to do with that support. But I truely do not see how
anyone could deny the contributions to science and Humankind that have
come from space exploration, and experimentation in microgravity. We are no
longer fighting the Russians, but other, more clandestine, enemies exist.
Cancer, terrorism, energy just to name a few. Microgravity research can aid
in that fight, and exploration can help us understand the orgin of our
planet and the universe. To paraphrase JFK, we climb the mountain because it
is there, and we are better for the effort.

Sorry Daniel, I won't take the bait. The answers to your questions are
obvious, do the research.

In other words, you can't answer his question.

RE velcro, you are right NASA didn't invent it,
but they did popularize it.

You see, Daniel, if NASA has any connection, however tenuous, to a
technology, then NASA is 'responsible' for that technology. This is
obviously true, since only a mouth breathing liberal luddite psychopath
could claim differently.
