Think of it as cheap "protection" money. It's payback time for the
Russkis, after all, they didn't launch against us despite the fact we
surrounded our WWII allies with nukes based in Europe. We would have gone
to war over the Cuban missile crisis for far less action on their part,
wouldn't we?

Even though we wouldn't buy a Russian made car, camera or television set,
they arguably possess the world's best ICBM rockets and by far the biggest
hydrogen bomb ever conceived by mankind. Pay them and don't complain about
it.
