In the coverage of the launch I can see some spectators standing on a grass verge with a big countdown clock. Which vantage point
is
that? Is it the VIP viewing area about 3 miles away or the causeway viewing area 6 miles away?

Neither. It is the Press Site between the Launch Control Center and
the barge turning basin. You need press credentials to be there for a
launch.

I thought it looked too close to be on the causeway :-/

Yes!!! Just confirmed my causeway tickets for the next launch. When I arrive in florida from the UK I'll be staying in Miami (South
Beach) for a week.
I've never visited America before, so can anyone tell me the best/cheapest way to travel from South Beach to KSC?

Thanks in advance.
