Having recently worked with a 5 time shuttle astronaut, I was told that
there would be 17 more missions until the fleet is retired.

Can anyone tell me how many more missions are scheduled? I thought I'd
read that there were only a few external tanks left but Nasa's website
suggest there are at least half a dozen more launches to come?
