My reply that started all this did not use any of my experience. My
comment about having to be "spoonfed" is applicable across the board
and not just sci.space or the internet. I had no idea why the
launch was at a none zero inclination but I found it in less than a
minute. If the question started out "I tried searching but....", I
would have responded differently. The internet is a tool and people
don't use it properly. It takes more effort that pounding a
question.
Ok great, so rather than engage in the art of conversation with people who
might respond in a timely manner, hopefully with good info instead of going
to some damn webpage, reading whatever it has to say and then sending an
email to someone putting up the page and then hoping that maybe that person
running the webpage or the PAO office or whomever might deign to respond
when they've got time.
I spend a lot of time perusing web page, doing google/yahoo searches, etc.
but there's nothing like coming here and enduring the flame wars amidst
looking for wheat amongst the chaff. Having someone tell me I oughta go look
it up as opposed to getting pretty quick feedback is kinda condescending, if
you ask me. If you don't want to spoonfeed people then why bother replying
at all? That goes for the vast majority out there not just one person in
particular.
And here I thought I was just gonna continue to lurk......
