Consider that when the current regime took office, they kept Goldin
(appointed by Clinton) on for quite some time before giving the job to

Minor nit: Bush Jr. did keep Goldin awhile, but Goldin was appointed
by Bush Sr.

BTW, this is as good a time as any to remind Bob Holler (holler,
holler, holler) that the shuttle didn't kill twice all by its
lonesome. More accurately, two new NASA chiefs permitted the shuttle
to kill (Graham and O'Keefe). In the words of Nixon, they were allowed
to "create a crisis."

the easiest decision for a new president is just keep it flying while
a special commision looks at the new crew vehicle which isnt going
well at all.....

if were going to spend billions to support ISS its probably best to
spend the bucks in the USA rather than give them to russia

the real crime was too much cost cutting at the time the shuttle was
first designed.

so new president takes over, says fly out the schedule and dont
dismember the infrastructure, flights get delayed, and flying is
extended unless theres another accident
.
