Ablative Tiles per Feyman: Can anyone Verify?

Hi Ray (and everyone)
Thanks for the insights and discussion on the Space Shuttle and its tile
design.
I heard an anecdote and wondered if anyone can verify it. I understood some
of the basic redesign for the tiles afte the Challenger Accident came from an
idea from Dr. Richard Feynman (the Nobel physicist). Is there any validity to
that? I cannot recall where I
heard it or where it came from.
Can any of you set me right on this story, maybe Dr Feynman used the Frisbee
to develop something else and not the post Challenger ablation tiles?
I study creativity as a psychologist and wonder if this is a true story that
can be
used in my classes...
(The story was that Dr. Feynman was watching some Frisbees in flight and made
some kind
of idea-transfer and this resulted in redesign of the curvature in the
shuttle tiles to help prevent or minimise ablation).
Thanks everyone
Terryo
