Thats right, the other main problem is that those microphones seem extremely
sensitive to wind noise. Did nobody tell them about the trick with the
ladies tights and two coathangers?

Landed safely at KSC.
BTW, is there a way they could get those jets to not come close to KSC
for the landing so that we could hear the actual sounds of the orbiter
(if any) ?
I doubt you can hear anything besides the sonic boom while it's still
traveling at supersonic speed.
