You are certainly right that credibility in other areas has a
"bleed-over" effect on a reputation. One teacher says, "Well the US
lied about overthrowing the Allende government in Chile".
The Allende coup happened back in 1973 -- just after the last Moon
landing. I wonder if that teacher makes some other kinds of strange
associations in his mind about that.
