The Chart covers a weekly cycle.. New data overrides the data for the
previous week. Columns B,C,&D have figures that give measured values as
shown by mechanical devices, i.e. scales, blood pressure kits, etc
Columns E,F,G,&H contain weekly numbers 1-7. Each number is a self
evaluation of a health problem or of a relation with another person. 4=no
concern, 1=disaster, 7=the absolute best. Each Data Column assumes a Normal
Curve distribution of 7 points. The Average and the Standard Deviation are
calculated, and with the Standard Deviation astraddle the Average the end
points mark 33.5% values away from the Average. Values outside the Standard
Deviation indicate that attention should be given to ameliorate a problem.
Rows 0.67 high and 0.67 low give the outside limits of the Standard
Deviation. As data is entered in a column it can be compared with that in
the upper two entries, 0.67 high and 0.67 low. If outside those limits it
may be contributing to the problem that is being investigated.
As data for the day of the week is entered in a data column the Average and
the Standard Deviation and it's end values will automatically adjust. The
limiting values shown in the chart pertain only to the day of last entry.
Other weekly entries are of the previous week and are of historitical
interest.
In the Chart above, if my last entry is on Monday, I am in poor shape!! My
day was bad (2), I had drank too much wine (6), My wife and my boss had very
low opinions of me (2), and my blood pressure jumped out of bounds
Conclusion: I have to cut my consumption of wine to 2 glassed per day.
This chart was constructed using the Microsoft Windows XP Works Spread***.
You may construct a chart of your own. You can add data columns and choose
different time cycles,i.e. monthly or year
