Canadian statistics departments?

Hi, I'm in the process of applying to PhD programs. My understanding is
that Canadian statistics programs are good -- the only question is, how
available are fellowships for American students? Also, how bad is the
anti-Americanism on Canadian college campuses? Will it interfere in my
relationships with professors? Is the cost of living lower or higher than
the USA? I've heard that sales taxes and income taxes are higher, but that
other factors make it cheaper.
