Re: Modelling data with cyclical patterns?

I hear what you're saying, it's an iterative process. I'm learning as I go along about what the causes of death mean -- an expert on SIDS (who happened to be pregnant!) taught me a lot about it today. The purpose of the analyses is to predict how many people will die next month, for what reasons. I suppose I could take to actuarian experts, but can they be that helpful when predicting deaths for a particular state? It seems my data is probably more powerful than whatever they have.
